It’s a powerful word…. For passion men have accomplished the
impossible and pushed the limits of human possibility. Nothing
will get you out of bed on a cold rainy morning quite as effectively as
passion. We have all heard the sage
advice, “find your passion and spend your life doing that and you will never
work a day in your life.” So the big
question people have to contemplate is, “what is my passion and how can I spend
my life doing it?” Anyone who has known
me for any length of time knows that I
have a passion for Adventure Education.
Mix Adventure Education with ministry and you have found the recipe to
get me out of bed on those cold rainy mornings. One of the biggest struggles
I’ve had over the years is, how can I do that and still provide financially for
my family? The traditional adventure education model that most camps (including
Shiloh) use is great but nearly impossible to make money with. Something has
happened in the last couple years….. Geico sent a pig down a giant zip-line in
one of their commercials yelling “weeeee!” suddenly zip-lines were booming with
popularity. “Adventure parks” have
started to spring up at Ski areas, tourist destinations and even in local
malls! This has created a significant rise in adventure activities and the
question hit me…. How can we take advantage of this trend and reach more people
at camp?
Introducing…… Shiloh Adventure Center! (S.A.C.)
S.A.C. will be a one
of a kind adventure park and learning center! We are in the process of building
state of the art indoor and outdoor adventure parks for participants of all
ages and abilities. An adventure park is a series of fun, physical &
challenging activities suspended in the air typically between trees or poles.
Participants use safety gear to traverse the course. These courses are designed
to move people out of their comfort zones in a sOur goal is to create a very high quality adventure park and reach
hundreds of people a week with our message of hope and love through adventure
education! Once construction is complete we will advertise S.A.C. to the general
public and have a grand opening. With the rise in popularity of adventure
activities we believe that S.A.C. will take off and become a popular

We need your help!
We are seeking to
raise $50,000 as seed money to get this S.A.C. off the ground. We have
begun construction already in faith that the money will show up! It would typically cost triple that number to
build the courses that we have planned but because of my background and our
very good relationship with Universal Ropes Course Builders we will be able to
build at a fraction of the cost. We are also in immediate need of a pickup truck.
My trailblazer is not very good at hauling branches, tools, ladders and
trailers around. A pickup truck would be
a huge help
especially now in our construction phase!
Finally we need volunteer help! We will be clearing brush, moving rocks
and spreading woodchips like madmen this spring and could use all the hands we
can get to help with this! Please consider helping us start this new
